Having extra art supplies has also been very helpful and allows students to get creative when engaging in social emotional lessons. My kindergarteners and 1st graders have been using Boomwhackers to learn our Do-Re-Mis and the older students have been using them to visualize how to play chords. I have also been arranging the Boomwhackers for secret songs - familiar melodies the students play in a steady beat, one note at a time around the circle and try to identify.\r\n\r\nThe first time the students saw our new Boomwhackers laid out in a rainbow of colors around the room, they were thrilled and excited to try them out. We jumped in right away and used them with some Boomwhacker YouTube falling note play-alongs.\r\n\r\nThis spring I'm planning to have students create group compositions using what they've learned about harmony, melody and rhythm. We will also be integrating Boomwhackers into our full class ensembles involving ukuleles, keyboards, xylophones, singing, and movement.","fullyFundedDate":1723158856653,"projectUrl":"project/totally-tubular-boomwhacker-jam-session/8567577/","projectTitle":"Totally Tubular!
