I explained to them that we would watch them grow and transform. We placed the caterpillars near their cubbies, so each day they could check on them. Every morning, my students were excited to unpack and see if the caterpillars had made any changes. The day they entered the room and saw butterflies instead of caterpillars, their eyes lit up and they cheered with excitement! \r\n\r\nToday we got to release our butterflies, and I think that may have been my students' favorite part of this project. Now that the butterflies are gone, we are going to complete a writing lesson together about where we think our butterflies are now. Each one of my students will get to to share their idea.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generous donation, my students got to experience hands on learning. I am confident that this is a memory that they will also cherish.
