We got specialty safety knives that allow those with muscle issues or pressure issues to participate fully in the cooking lesson, which is something they have not had much practice with outside of this. Parents can find it hard to support kids and specialized skills like that without the prerequisite knowledge needed to adapt to them. Could have so much fun, and we're able to make so many different kinds of food. They've never tried before. I really like that I'll be able to use these tools for at least the next year before needing to replenish. These funds were used with my special education work experience program to purchase books, workbooks, career assessments, and job exploration resources. Providing opportunities for students to achieve my classroom goals. I was able to provide quite a lot of literature to use in class instruction. We've already used 5-minute drills; they've been a lifesaver when we have extra time. As part of the work, some of my students work in the mail room. They deliver mail and packages all throughout the building. They always get very excited whenever they see a package with my name on it because it means they get to open it when he gets back in the classroom. A lot of the time, it's pencils or erasers, but when they saw some of the workbooks, they sat down and started going over them. I had to send them back to work before I could even look through them!\r\nI plan to use these materials through the ear; furthermore, there have been quite a few. Getting all the necessary forms filled out by parents, entering them into the computer correctly, and verifying them is even harder. That's before you even get to funding. It all becomes insurmountable and essentially makes the barriers to participation too high. With your donation of supplies, you removed that last barrier for all 40 of my participants.
