Because of your contributions, our students now have access to the gaming gear and technology needed to build a thriving, competitive e-sports program right here at school.\r\n\r\nFor many donors who use technology primarily for everyday tasks or casual entertainment, it might be surprising to see how powerful e-sports equipment can be in an educational setting. In our school, e-sports is far more than just playing video games; it serves as a dynamic platform for learning, team building, and developing essential modern skills. Through this program, students are learning digital literacy, strategic thinking, real-time communication, and data analysis as they review gameplay footage and refine their strategies. The new equipment has leveled the playing field, ensuring that all team members—regardless of their background—have access to high-quality, reliable gear that allows them to compete on equal footing with other schools.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for our students has been the professional feel of the new setups. Having dedicated, high-performance equipment has validated their passion and given them a true sense of pride in representing our school. The enthusiasm in the room during our practice sessions is electric. Students who previously felt disconnected from traditional extracurricular activities like track or basketball have now found their place, working together toward common goals and cheering each other on.\r\n\r\nWe have seen remarkable growth in several students who were initially quiet or hesitant to step into leadership roles. One student in particular, who often kept to himself in class, has completely transformed since we set up the new equipment. He stepped up as our team shot-caller, demonstrating natural leadership, guiding his teammates through intense matches, and maintaining a positive, supportive attitude even under pressure. This newfound confidence has bled over into the classroom, where he is now more engaged, proactive, and willing to participate in group discussions.\r\n\r\nThe impact of your gift extends far beyond the screen. You have helped us foster an inclusive community where students feel valued, motivated, and connected to their school environment. By supporting this initiative, you have shown our students that their interests matter and that a community of supporters stands behind them.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of our entire e-sports team, our school, and myself, thank you for making this transformative experience possible for our students.\r\n\r\nWith gratitude,\r\n\r\nMr. McDaniel","fullyFundedDate":1706745059120,"projectUrl":"project/e-sports-essentials-for-high-schools-e-/8148743/","projectTitle":"E-Sports Essentials for High School's E-Sports Team","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. McDaniel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2417499_orig.jpg?crop=883,883,x860,y207&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1631725209053","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2417499"},{"teacherId":6724762,"projectId":10440086,"letterContent":"My students are using the new band supplies every day as we work to build strong fundamentals and become more confident musicians. One of the most exciting moments has been watching students use the new resources independently as they practice difficult passages, make adjustments, and take ownership of their musical progress. Having the right supplies available allows us to spend less time worrying about equipment and more time making music.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were excited to see the new supplies and immediately wanted to put them to use. They were especially excited to have resources that were specifically selected to meet the needs of our band program. Their enthusiasm has carried into our daily rehearsals, where students are becoming more confident in their ability to prepare music and solve musical challenges.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue applying these resources as we prepare our current music and build toward upcoming performances. Students will continue working on tone quality, intonation, rhythm, articulation, and ensemble skills while using the materials to support their individual practice. Having access to these materials allowed students to experiment with different mediums while creating artwork that reflected their own individual creativity. \r\n\r\nThe Christmas Art Sale also gave students a valuable opportunity to see their artwork have a purpose beyond the classroom. They were able to experience what it is like to create products, prepare artwork for sale, and share their work with families, teachers, and members of the school community. The donations helped make these experiences possible by providing all of the necessary materials that we needed to put this event on. \r\n\r\nMost importantly, these donations helped students see themselves as artists and understand that their creativity has value.
