They have been so excited to use the new tools and are motivated to complete writing tasks.\r\n\r\nUsing both hands together to complete tasks such as pulling apart or pushing together the popsicle letter activity helps carryover to skills that also require two hands such as opening food containers, and zippering their jackets. The twistable Crayola colored pencils have been a huge hit, and because they are so narrow the students are able to color in very tight spaces and develop the small intrinsic muscles in their hands. Intrinsic muscles are used for a variety of tasks such as being able to turn a pencil around with one hand and use the eraser when you make a mistake.\r\n\r\nThe wiggle pens and universal cuffs have helped students be able to write, play guitar and gain feedback to help with the reinforcement of letters. The Gumball Grab Game may be the biggest hit of all. The kids love to use the tongs to pick up the specific marbles and place them on their game board.
