While the project was originally designed for a Math Quiz Bee, we were able to expand its impact into a larger family math experience. The microphones allowed us to clearly guide families through the activities and announce the game rounds, while the buzzers brought excitement to math challenges where students eagerly waited for their turn to respond. The spinners were used at math stations where families practiced addition, number sense, and strategic thinking together. These hands-on tools helped transform math practice into a lively and engaging experience.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, especially the buzzers and spinners, their excitement was immediate. They couldn't wait to participate and many were thrilled to see their parents joining them in solving math problems and playing games. The math game books provided fun activities for families while they waited for their turn in the main event, keeping students actively thinking and learning. Our Cricut machine also played an important role behind the scenes by helping us create signs, labels, and game materials that made each station organized and inviting.\r\n\r\nThese resources will continue to benefit our students long after this event. We plan to use the buzzers and microphones for future math competitions and review games, while the spinners and game books will support small group math centers and additional family engagement events. The Cricut will help us create even more math learning materials and activities throughout the year. Because of your support, our students are experiencing math as something exciting, interactive, and meaningful—not just in the classroom, but with their families as well. Thank you for helping us create joyful math experiences that our students will remember and build upon for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1766834721561,"projectUrl":"project/family-math-nights-parents-students/9666676/","projectTitle":"Family Math Nights: Parents + Students = Math Champions!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Calamba","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9799467"},{"teacherId":6797456,"projectId":9536389,"letterContent":"I really appreciate the help in providing reeds to the students learning clarinet and saxophone this school year. I had been using my own money to purchase reeds for a very long time. A couple of years ago, I had decided to put in for a Donors Choose project in order to help fund these reeds.
