Before we received this new rug, I tried to keep my students from sitting on the old rug because of how stained and worn it was. When my students saw the new rug placed in their classroom, a couple of them smiled and wanted to sit down on it immediately. This time I allowed them to sit, where previously I discouraged it. Without your generosity, these Autistic children would not have the simple enjoyment on sitting on a comfortable and clean rug. Sadly I had to leave my kiddos to move to a new school with kids that are just as wonderful. However, I was still able to leave behind the wonderful donations for my River Oaks babies. They are still enjoying all of the donations including the rug. Your support has made a huge difference in my classroom the past year. The new rug has made it easier to give students the opportunity to have flexible seating, and the impact has been noticeable.
