Your donation has made a much greater impact than simply giving our classroom new furniture. You have helped create a learning environment where students can feel comfortable, focused, excited, and ready to explore.\r\n\r\nWhen the new tables and chairs arrived, the students were genuinely excited. They immediately noticed the difference, and their excitement was contagious. Something as simple as walking into a classroom with clean, sturdy, new furniture made them feel like they were entering a special place designed just for them. Our STEM Lab now looks brighter, more organized, and more inviting. It feels like a true space for creativity, discovery, collaboration, and innovation.\r\n\r\nBefore your generous donation, our students and I had grown accustomed to working with old, squeaky tables. Every time a student moved, the tables would squeak, wobble, or make distracting noises. During lessons, experiments, and group activities, these distractions could take away from valuable learning time. Instead of worrying about the furniture moving or making noise, we can now focus on what really matters—learning!\r\n\r\nSTEM education is all about hands-on learning. Students need to be able to build, design, experiment, collaborate, make mistakes, and try again. Having sturdy tables and comfortable seating gives them the environment they need to do those things successfully. Whether students are constructing a model, investigating a science concept, working with a partner, completing an engineering challenge, or sharing their ideas with their classmates, they now have a classroom that supports their learning.\r\n\r\nYour donation has also helped create a greater sense of pride in our STEM Lab. Our students can see that their learning environment matters and that people in their community believe in them. That message is incredibly powerful. It tells them that their education is worth investing in and that their ideas, creativity, and future are important.\r\n\r\nThe impact of your generosity will extend far beyond this school year. Every group of students who enters our STEM Lab will benefit from the tables and chairs you provided. Year after year, children will sit at these tables while discovering how the world works, solving problems, asking questions, and developing the skills they will need for their futures.\r\n\r\nAs their STEM teacher, I am incredibly grateful. As an educator, I know that the environment in which children learn can make a meaningful difference. And as someone who gets to watch these students grow, explore, and become more confident every day, I can tell you that your donation has already made a difference.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our students and in our STEM Lab. Thank you for giving them a classroom where they can learn without unnecessary distractions, collaborate with their classmates, and simply enjoy the process of discovering something new.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, thank you for reminding our students that their community believes in them.","fullyFundedDate":1778071921840,"projectUrl":"project/future-scientists/10259013/","projectTitle":"Future Scientists","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Rolon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10491907"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_59977","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":984,"numTeachers":60,"percentFrplEligible":13,"percentAsian":9,"percentBlack":6,"percentWhite":44,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":33,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":5,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"16.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":87.2,"schoolId":59977,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Riverglades Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Riverglades Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/broward-county-public-schools/riverglades-elementary-school/59977"}
