At our Title I school, many of our students are English Language Learners, and having access to headphones has made a tremendous difference in their ability to learn. Headphones have significantly enhanced the learning experience in our science classroom, especially when students are watching educational videos. With headphones, students can fully immerse themselves in instructional content, block out distractions, and concentrate on complex material. This is particularly helpful in science, where difficult concepts are often explained through multimedia. Students can pause or rewind to review challenging sections, which promotes deeper understanding and keeps them engaged.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students is the independence these headphones provide. They enjoy being able to control their learning pace, and for many of them—especially those with ADHD, auditory processing challenges, or who are still learning English—the clear and direct audio has made lessons more accessible. The headphones also make collaborative learning more efficient since students can access videos individually without disturbing others.\r\n\r\nYour support has given our students the tools they need to focus, collaborate, and connect more deeply with science. These headphones have made lessons more interactive, allowed for individualized learning, and helped students grasp concepts more effectively. We are so grateful that you have invested in our students' curiosity and success.","fullyFundedDate":1742582675615,"projectUrl":"project/headphones-for-my-9th-grade-science-stud/9141504/","projectTitle":"Headphones for My 9th Grade Science Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lovato","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7810613"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_66334","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2548,"numTeachers":128,"percentFrplEligible":43,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":30,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":58,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"19.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":70.8,"schoolId":66334,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Rio Rancho High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Rio Rancho High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-mexico/rio-rancho-public-school-district/rio-rancho-high-school/66334"}
