Your kindness brought joy, excitement, and a sense of being truly cared for—something every child deserves, especially during the holiday season. The moment the gifts arrived, my students' faces lit up with pure happiness. Many of them could not believe that someone they had never met chose to think of them and invest in their happiness.\r\n\r\nYour donation created more than just a fun celebration—it helped build a positive, loving classroom environment where students feel valued and seen. The gifts encouraged teamwork, creativity, and play, and they gave my students something to look forward to during a time that can be difficult for some families. Thanks to you, our classroom felt extra warm, festive, and full of laughter this holiday season.\r\n\r\nWe are deeply grateful for your generosity and for the joy you brought into our classroom. Instead of students straining to see a small example or crowding around a table, every child can now clearly view texts, math problems, anchor charts, manipulatives, and even student work projected in real time. This has helped make whole-group instruction more accessible and interactive, allowing students to follow each step of a process with ease. It has also improved comprehension, since students can visually track strategies as I demonstrate them.\r\n\r\nThe document camera has also increased student engagement and participation. I frequently showcase student work—both completed and in progress—to celebrate successes and model growth-minded revisions. Students get excited to have their thinking displayed, and it encourages them to take pride in their work. Additionally, the tool supports hands-on learning: I can model how to use math tools, explore science materials, or annotate texts while students mirror the steps at their desks. Overall, the document camera has become an essential classroom tool that enhances clarity, boosts engagement, and strengthens the quality of my instruction.","fullyFundedDate":1762266260250,"projectUrl":"project/enhancing-classroom-learning-through-doc/9687566/","projectTitle":"Enhancing Classroom Learning Through Document Cameras","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. McLay","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9635780_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y304&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759419082169","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9635780"},{"teacherId":6394401,"projectId":9302596,"letterContent":"I always say that it takes a village to create the future leaders of this world, and donors like you are the epitome of this saying! My students are now more engaged and excited to learn because they can see and touch the concepts we're exploring. During math lessons, the hands-on tools help students visualize place value, fractions, and multiplication in ways that make abstract ideas concrete. Students who once struggled to stay focused are now eager to participate, using the manipulatives to solve problems and explain their thinking to classmates.\r\n\r\nIn reading, the new resources have brought literacy centers to life. Students use letter tiles, story sequencing cards, and comprehension games to strengthen vocabulary and understanding in a fun, interactive way. I've noticed a big boost in confidence, especially among my reluctant readers, they're now reading more independently and with enthusiasm. Overall, these manipulatives have transformed our learning environment into a more dynamic, collaborative, and joyful space where every child can succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1759343216749,"projectUrl":"project/success-in-their-hands-math-and-reading/9687661/","projectTitle":"Success in Their Hands: Math and Reading Manipulatives","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. McLay","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9635780_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y304&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759419082169","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9635780"},{"teacherId":9635780,"projectId":9089315,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating headphones and a charging station to our third-grade class! The students noticed the colored print outs right away! \r\nWhen a student earns a reward, it just looks better and means more when it is in color. The games that we play in centers looks more interesting and official in color, as well. Prior to having the color printer, I just bought colored paper to print them on. \r\nThe color has definitely added to our classroom!\r\nHaving the extra ink to continue the projects, games, and awards in color is helpful as well. I have printed a lot on that printer already. The extra ink will take me at least to the end of the year with the projects and activities that I have planned.\r\nI want to send a big thank you to Charles Schwab Foundation for helping me to help my students learn in a fun way. I cannot wait for my money unit now that I can have the activity sheets in color!\r\nPlease noticed that the first picture shows the award in black and white, the second is in color.
