Did you know there are sites that read books out loud to children? Apps that practice spelling words? On-line games that teach verbs and contractions? Practice tests, biographies, interactive lessons? My students would benefit from all of these things! They would use the iPads during center time and Daily 5 time. Students could work and excel at their own pace, practice what they need, better reading skills, and gain knowledge using this technology. Students who are early finishers would have an extra resource instead of thinking, "What now?" These iPads would have us all thinking, "Now what!" The students could use this tool to really start to excel.
