We understand that this donation has a personal connection to the memory of your wife, who worked with many of our staff and was deeply dedicated to supporting our students. Her legacy, through your kindness, continues to make a meaningful impact on their learning experiences.\r\n\r\nThe introduction of the headphones has made an incredible difference in our classrooms. Technology in the form of digital learning tools is now an integral part of how we teach, and the headphones have elevated this by providing a focused, immersive learning environment. Many of our students, especially those with different learning needs, are able to fully engage in lessons without the distraction of background noise. This has been especially impactful during virtual lessons, language learning, and even in special education settings, where students often require a more individualized approach to learning.\r\n\r\nOur students are particularly excited about the opportunity to engage with technology in such a personal way. The clarity and comfort of the headphones have opened up new avenues for interactive lessons, language practice, and educational games that were previously hindered by poor sound quality. The technology has not only enhanced their learning but also helped develop new skills they will carry into the future.\r\n\r\nThere have been some students who have especially thrived with this new addition. One of our quieter students, who struggles with attention in noisy environments, has become more vocal and engaged in class discussions since receiving the headphones. The ability to hear instructions clearly has boosted their confidence, and they are now more likely to participate. Several others, including students with special needs, have demonstrated improved concentration and focus, showing a deeper connection to their work and a growing enthusiasm for their education.one of our non verbal students is able to communicate more effectively due to the whiteboards. \r\n\r\nThanks to your thoughtful donation, our students are benefiting from a better, more accessible educational experience. Your support is leaving a lasting mark, not only on the students but also on our entire school community. We are deeply appreciative of the opportunity to carry on the spirit of your wife's work through this donation, and we honor her memory every day through the continued success of the students whose lives she touched.","fullyFundedDate":1734796536697,"projectUrl":"project/learning-in-full-color-help-equip-our-f/8995112/","projectTitle":"Learning in Full Color: Help Equip Our First Graders Successfully!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Claeys","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8621318_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1688572128814","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8621318"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_29340","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":411,"numTeachers":28,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":13,"percentBlack":23,"percentWhite":33,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":23,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"14.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":64.8,"schoolId":29340,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Ridgewood Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Ridgewood Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/east-moline-public-school-district-37/ridgewood-elementary-school/29340"}
