The tables let children work where they would like, whether it's in the sunshine or in a quiet place. Instead of writing on the floor, children have better posture and better handwriting when using these low tables. When some of my children went to another classroom to work, they easily took these little tables and had their own space. Beyond technical skills, the Glowforge helps foster a maker mindset — emphasizing persistence, creativity, and pride in craftsmanship.\r\n\r\nWe have had some troubles getting the tech to work between the Chromebooks and the printer, but things are getting easier now! My students utilize the prompts and exercises to reflect on their emotions and practice mindfulness, providing them with tools to self-regulate when needed.\r\n\r\nWooden Montessori Trays:\r\nYour generous donation provided us with a set of beautiful, unfinished wooden trays, perfect for our Montessori environment. As you can see in the attached photo, we've already put four of the trays to excellent use on our math shelf, organizing our materials and creating a more inviting and accessible learning space. Specifically, the trays have allowed me to sort and display our skip counting number puzzles, making them readily available for students and promoting independent practice. The students are naturally drawn to the organized materials, and it has promoted more independent and focused learning. I've also included a picture of our language materials that are also organized. I am in the process of organizing more shelves and will use the rest of the trays to display and organize various learning materials.
