Our students were incredibly excited to get robots to work with. We were able to start 3 new FIRST Lego League Challenge teams with the robots from this campaign. Those three teams competed at the qualifying tournament hosted by our high school FIRST Tech Challenge team and one of them has advanced to our regional championship in February.\r\n\r\nIt was delightful to watch the students assemble their robots, work together to figure out how to plan their code, set goals, and achieve them. They enjoyed exploring with the flexibility of the Lego bricks and being able to easily modify their robots as they encountered obstacles.\r\n\r\nWe were able to use the success of this campaign to ask for additional resources from our district and our Education Foundation.
