We have received all our items and unboxed them today, and my students were so excited! We just ran out of our classroom snacks in our donation box last week, so receiving the fruit snacks, pretzels, pringles and Gogo squeeze applesauce was great timing and my students that forgot snack or were unable to bring one were very grateful to have them this morning! The hats and gloves were also very much appreciated for our cold recess today since we got even more snow last night! Although this project had a lot of random items in it, having so many students this year these items became necessary, and it has been so helpful having these items. \r\n\r\nFirst, my students have absolutely loved having a proper stool to sit at my podium. Not having a lot of room to move away from their desks I wanted to let them sit there, but I didn't have a stool that I felt was safe enough for them. Many students have enjoyed sitting at my podium in the afternoon when they have independent time to catch-up on work. \r\n\r\nI have been so grateful for the desk dividers. I've been asking my district for them for months, but they weren't able to provide them, and my students were sitting in partner desks with no real space of their own. Having the desk dividers has not only helped during testing, but also for students who just wanted a more private area to work so they could separate themselves from their shoulder partner. In the near future I hope to use the cardstock and tape to add multiplication charts, cursive alphabet lines, and fraction bars to the insides of the folder for easy access for my students who need them. \r\n\r\nFinally, thank you so much for the donation of the art supplies. The big box of crayons and markers especially came in handy during our Holidays Around the World unit where students were coloring and decorating post cards of each country we visited.","fullyFundedDate":1762108828231,"projectUrl":"project/our-room-is-full-to-the-brim/9470247/","projectTitle":"Our Room Is Full to the Brim!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Padget","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7861414_orig.jpg?crop=960,960,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1692747136256","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7861414"},{"teacherId":7861414,"projectId":9229103,"letterContent":"Thank you so, so much for donating to this project so I was able to have snacks for my students at the beginning of the year. In the past, third grade has eaten lunch at 10:55, so my students have really enjoyed having snacks at the end of the day. This year, school starts at 7:35, and my students don't eat lunch until 12:20, so having these snacks in the morning has really help students from getting too hungry, which has helped them be able to stay focused. \r\nI have 29 students this year, more than I've ever had.
