They rounded out my science library! Right now as a class we daily read from \"Weird But True Halloween\". We are all learning interesting facts about the holiday, such as in some countries it is considered good luck to have a black cat cross your path. Student enjoy going to the world map and discovering new information and expanding their geographic knowledge and reading all at once.\r\n\r\nAnother fun thing that has happened is that students read these books after math tests. Math test days aren't dreaded as they used to be, because now they get to spend time with these books. They like them so much, I have had to make a rule that they can only choose one thing to share with me from the books! Otherwise all 25 kids would want to share everything they read! I have several students who just can not sit. It is almost like watching a yoga class go on when they try to sit at a standard seat. The standing desk option is so great for them. \r\nI believe that some students need to move a bit to think. These desks allow for that with the foot bar and the standing option. They get to move without being disruptive.
