You helped 25 students gain access to two incredibly rich pieces of literature; you expanded their world views tremendously, and they are better scholars and people for that exposure.\r\n\r\nI have a great problem to have - no students chose to leave their copies of Frankenstein with me at the end of our unit. They all loved the novel and wanted to keep their annotated copies! A couple left their copies of Hamlet with me to have on hand for future students who leave their copies at home (see one of the pictures I attached, with some syntax work on a post-it from Hamlet's first soliloquy), but most of the Hamlets went home with students as well. Of the two, I think Frankenstein was the preferred text, but both were extremely valuable to students when they sat the AP exam earlier this month (fingers crossed for good results in July!)\r\n\r\nI attached one of my favorite one-pagers (the final project for Hamlet) so you could see how deeply and thoughtfully students engaged with the text. Hope you enjoy! Thank you again, so so much--you've truly made an impact in my students lives and I am forever grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1767807903921,"projectUrl":"project/classic-reads-for-ap-scholars/9957542/","projectTitle":"Classic Reads for AP Scholars","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Press","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3693717_orig.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1567558702673","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3693717"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_99057","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":410,"numTeachers":49,"percentFrplEligible":90,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":43,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":53,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":0,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"8.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":78.0,"schoolId":99057,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Innovation Charter High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Innovation Charter High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/renaissance-charter-high-school-for-innovation/99057"}
