Your generosity provided our kindergarten classroom with over $500 worth of materials that are already making a difference in my students' learning each day.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited when the boxes arrived! They loved seeing the new games, puzzles, books, markers, dry erase boards, and STEM materials. They are so excited to learn about all the ways we can use our new supplies.\r\n\r\nMany of the materials will be part of our everyday learning. Our dry erase boards are used during both literacy and math lessons, allowing students to practice writing sounds, letters, numbers, and solving problems while getting immediate feedback. Our headphones help students work independently on iPads during learning activities. The games, puzzles, and STEM toys give students opportunities to practice problem-solving, math skills, cooperation, and creativity while staying engaged in their learning.\r\n\r\nThe students are so excited to read our new classroom read alouds. We will be using them to talk about making mistakes, learning from others, and celebrating what makes each person unique. These conversations are especially meaningful in our kindergarten classroom as students learn how to be part of a classroom community.\r\n\r\nThe practical supplies are just as important. Folders help students safely bring work and important papers between home and school, while markers, glue sticks, erasers, and other supplies allow us to jump into hands-on projects without worrying about running out of materials. The snacks provide an extra option for students who may not have brought one from home, helping them stay comfortable and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nNext, our students will continue using these materials throughout the year as we build foundational reading, writing, and math skills. We are especially excited to use our new STEM materials, games, and puzzles to encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and creative thinking during learning centers.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our classroom and helping make learning more engaging, hands-on, and accessible for our kindergarten students.
