The balances have been able to be used by all three grade levels. By having digital scales we are able to have converstation about decimal places, and units values. Students were able to take more quantitative observations for any lab we do. They have become familar with use of them and can balance or/tare them getting them ready for tools in high school science classrooms. \r\n\r\nThe microscope and slides have been a huge impact to the 7th grade students in their unit of cells. The premade slides allowed me to take time and focus on the organelles inside the cell and give them better insight to the parts of the cell. \r\n\r\nThe fossils and amber has been nice to add materials for the 6th grade classes as that was the content I was lacking more hands on materials. The students are excited to see real examples of the fossils instead of reading about how they were formed. \r\n\r\nThe chromatography paper, I have not used yet. However, it will be really cool lab for the 7th grade students when we do our plant unit and separte the colors and see why plants are green. I also plan on using it for 8th graders in our spectrum of light section to see all the colors that go into make pigments. \r\n\r\nThe pippets are amazing, we used them in the chemistry unit last year. It is in hte picture where students were making hot packs and ice packs depending on the chemicals. I also used the pipets for the plants lab with adding dye to the slides for students to see the cells on the microscope slides they made. \r\n\r\nI am incredibly grateful for all the support in funding my project and have used it to inspire all the young minds with hands on science and exploring the world around us. \r\n\r\n\r\nTHANk you, \r\n\r\nMs.Mikolajczyk","fullyFundedDate":1746402670643,"projectUrl":"project/update-outdated-science-classroom/9251992/","projectTitle":"Update Outdated Science Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mikolajczyk","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9825317_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1745978472918","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9825317"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_38168","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":408,"numTeachers":29,"percentFrplEligible":15,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":85,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":10,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"14.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":73.2,"schoolId":38168,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Raymond Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Raymond Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/wisconsin/raymond-school-district-14/raymond-elementary-school/38168"}
