My Sustainability & Fashion students are elated to be using these materials. The creativity that I am already seeing is very exciting & I am looking forward to enhancing their educational experiences with these materials.\r\n\r\nWe are currently working on learning how to design and upcycle the materials we've been given. We received a large donation of clothes that we are practicing upcycling with. The sewing machines & thread have been an invaluable part of this process. I have a student who is learning how to use a sewing machine for the very first time. She has been so passionate about creating a purse from a pair of denim jeans & it is turning out so well! \r\n\r\nThis group is made up of students across multiple grade levels in 8th grade through high school. Watching them bond over sewing and their passion for creating has been so beautiful to see, so thank you for being a part of this process. The books get used almost every day and they have greatly increased my students' drawing confidence. They are more willing to try drawing new things; they are working on their observational and problem solving skills; and they ENJOY the books so much!\r\n\r\nThese books would never have made it to my classroom without your help. There is no way I could find the money because I am always using my budget for consumable supplies like paper and markers and paint.\r\n\r\nThey say it takes a village to raise even one child.
