We have been reading the book aloud during class, and the students are loving it! Many have asked if they can read ahead and start the other books in the series because they love the book so much, and for many of these students, that is not the norm for them. It has been very exciting to see how engaged they have been with it! \r\n\r\nThe lessons that we have done have mainly centered around learning about how aspects of The Hunger Games mirror pop culture, which the students have also had fun with. We've read articles about the Met Gala, reality TV shows, and Taylor Swift to reinforce the ideas, and they've even started coming up with their own examples! \r\n\r\nTeaching this books has been such a great experience, and I am very thankful to have been able to show this series to my students!
