The grass panels add so much life to the room and serve as the perfect background for my motivational LED sign and the LED light strip makes the motivational quote on my bulletin board stand out so much more! I love hearing the excited \"WOAH!\" when my students discover that the sensory hexagon lights change colors at the touch of a finger and the sensory liquid tiles move around when you step on them. The self reflection card game is a perfect way to help me learn more about my students and Uno is just such a classic fan favorite. Both of these games are used so often! I would not have been able to make this all possible without the little things like tape to hang up decor, wall USB blocks to plug in electric items, and my students say a huge thank you for the phone charger! Lastly, one of my most used items is the mini dry erase whiteboard that I use to leave messages for students. This allows me to communicate when I'll be off campus, when we're on assembly schedule, or having a fire drill, or have a day off, or to just write motivational messages to bring a smile to their face! Again, thank you for helping me create the compassionate environment that my students deserve.","fullyFundedDate":1754362776270,"projectUrl":"project/creating-compassionate-kids/9468169/","projectTitle":"Creating Compassionate Kids","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Katie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9023765_orig.jpg?crop=1932,1932,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1683258063089","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/misskatiemhs"},{"teacherId":9023765,"projectId":9819741,"letterContent":"I am astonished at how fast I was able to get this project funded. This was by far the quickest I've ever gotten. I was blown away when I got the email notification and so excited to add these final additions to my sensory fidget drawer. \r\n\r\nThe order came so quickly and I absolutely love everything I got! This is the most unique fidget order i've ever placed and I'm so grateful that I get to share these with my students. I know these items are going to be EXTREMELY helpful in the lives of many teenagers. \r\n\r\nStudents repeatedly ask for stress balls (which, for some reason, I didn't already have) and something \"squishy\" so with your support I was finally able to add this to the collection. They also really love acupuncture rings so I purchased a variety of different sensory ring options. My favorite is the \"Spiky Bead Sensory Rings\". \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you so much for helping me get this project funded, and funded FAST!","fullyFundedDate":1760471116838,"projectUrl":"project/peace-in-their-pockets-fidget-tools-for/9819741/","projectTitle":"Peace in Their Pockets: Fidget Tools for Teens’ Mental Wellness","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Katie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9023765_orig.jpg?crop=1932,1932,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1683258063089","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/misskatiemhs"},{"teacherId":9023765,"projectId":9576396,"letterContent":"Your donations have allowed me to update both the fidget box students use during counseling meetings and my drawer full of giveaway items that students can keep in their backpack as easily accessible coping skills. \r\n\r\nMy fidget bin is used by at least 5 students every day to ease their anxiety. It's so funny how they instantly notice the new additions. Every time I've looked over, I see nearly every student holding one of the new fidgets they discovered and they absolutely love them. The two most popular are the \"StressGrip\" and \"Hand Exercise Ball\".\r\n\r\nOn the other hand, my fidget drawer is like a hidden gem. It's tucked away and most often offered to students during a highly emotional state (Ex: panic attack or extreme anger). For those kids that really struggle to sit down and stay still, I almost always offer them a tool to keep in their backpack. The fidget controller is always a fan favorite followed by marble mesh fidgets and acupuncture rings. I've never had zipper bracelets, slider fidgets, or sensory tones so I'm excited to add those to the collection and looking forward to seeing my students reactions. \r\n\r\nThank you all so much for helping to make this possible. Student were also able to choose one transitional object to take with them to support with emotion management while in their classroom setting. It meant the world to me and I know the kids are equally as appreciative. I worked hard this summer to prepare my room for the school year and these items were the finishing touches to create the calm and organized space I envisioned. \r\n\r\nI used the bulletin board paper to wrap my door and add a little pop of color in the room so it wasn't so sterile. The 3 door nightstand is filled to the brim with school supplies and counseling materials, whichever would have fit in my desk drawers. My desktop Is wrapped in a neutral colored contact paper for a more calm environment and my stuffed animals now have a home! That message of support means just as much as the snacks themselves.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my students are able to focus a little more on their learning. Our event drew large crowds of students who were grinning ear to ear and yelling in excitement over these giveaways. By the end of the event, all of the resources had been distributed and we didn't have any leftovers. I was shocked! But that goes to show how necessary and appreciated these supplies were. With this support, I was able to provide a diverse selection of fiction books that reflect a range of voices, cultures, and experiences. For the first time all year, my students have been genuinely excited to read, eagerly diving into their new books during our literature circles. These books have sparked meaningful discussions, deepened their understanding of different perspectives, and, most importantly, fostered a newfound enthusiasm for reading that I hope will stay with them for the remainder of their lives.\r\n\r\nI have chosen to use the books in literature circles, which is a first for them. As they engage in discussions, I've seen students who were once reluctant readers now sharing their thoughts with confidence, making connections, and even recommending books to their peers. The joy in the classroom is palpable—students are laughing, debating, and, for the first time, seeing themselves in the stories they read. In turn, this has sparked more joy and creativity as their teacher. This funding has not only provided books; it has reignited a love for reading and learning in my students, and for that, I am incredibly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1724874626978,"projectUrl":"project/invigorating-students-love-of-reading/8396054/","projectTitle":"Invigorating Students' Love of Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sy-Santos","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9540875_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1715290661371","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9540875"},{"teacherId":9526342,"projectId":8756593,"letterContent":"I can't thank you enough for your contribution to our classroom and students.
