So far, we have practiced kindness with our kind koala award in August and respect with our respectful rhino award this month.\r\n\r\nWhen I first introduced our character awards during morning meeting, everyone wanted a chance to hold our koala! I announce the new awardee every day at morning meeting. The stuffed animals always get a smile from them and they are proud to get to keep them for the day.\r\n\r\nI have noticed an increase in acts of kindness and respect in my classroom this year. I can not wait to keep introducing our monthly awards to my students throughout the rest of the year.
