Your generosity is making a meaningful difference in the health, confidence, and success of our student-athletes.\r\n\r\nOur students are now actively using the nutritious snacks and sports drinks during strength and conditioning training to refuel before workouts and replenish afterward. Having these resources available helps our athletes maintain their energy during demanding training sessions, stay hydrated, and support their bodies as they recover. For many of our girls, especially those balancing early morning workouts, school, practices, and competitions, having healthy options readily available removes one more barrier to being properly prepared.\r\n\r\nThe students were especially excited when they first saw the new snacks and hydration resources. Their reactions included smiles, excitement, and plenty of enthusiasm as they explored the different options available to them. It was encouraging to see how quickly they recognized that these resources were provided specifically to support their training and athletic goals. What may seem like a simple snack or sports drink to some has become a meaningful reminder to our athletes that their health and well-being matter.\r\n\r\nNow that our students are actively participating in their sports and competing, the project is continuing to support them beyond the weight room. Our next steps are to encourage students to develop consistent habits around fueling and hydration before training and competition, make thoughtful choices about recovery after practices and games, and learn how proper nutrition and hydration contribute to performance. We want these habits to become part of their everyday routines—not just something they think about on game day.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, the lessons from Refuel and Replenish extend beyond athletics. Our goal is for students to understand how taking care of their bodies can help them feel stronger, perform with confidence, and make healthy choices throughout their lives.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our girls and believing in their potential. Because of your generosity, our student-athletes have the resources they need to train stronger, hydrate consistently, recover effectively, and compete with confidence. Your support is helping our athletes give their best effort today while building healthy habits that will benefit them long after their playing days are over.","fullyFundedDate":1783734098625,"projectUrl":"project/fuel-and-replenish/10371066/","projectTitle":"Fuel and Replenish","teacherDisplayName":"Coach Johnson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10535884_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1783567406045","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10535884"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_13446","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":388,"numTeachers":35,"percentFrplEligible":72,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":76,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":3,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":11,"gradesServed":"K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"11.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":84.6,"schoolId":13446,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Ragland High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Ragland High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/alabama/st-clair-county-school-district/ragland-school/13446"}
