These kits help provide peace of mind for our campus community and ensure teachers have quick access to important emergency supplies when they are needed most.\r\n\r\nOur students have also been involved in helping organize and assemble the safety buckets through a campus community service group during WIN time. It has been meaningful for students to take part in a project focused on helping protect and care for others on campus. They have taken pride in knowing they are contributing to something important for their classmates and teachers.\r\n\r\nThe emergency kits will continue to support classrooms across our campus throughout the school year and beyond. Having these supplies readily available allows teachers to respond more effectively during emergencies while helping students feel safer and more secure in their learning environment.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and school community. The visual supports around the room have already helped students build confidence with vocabulary, math symbols, number relationships, and problem-solving strategies. Many students naturally reference the posters, anchor charts, and visuals during lessons and group work, allowing them to work more independently and participate more actively in discussions.\r\nThese resources have been especially impactful during collaborative activities and station rotations. Students are using the visual aids to explain their thinking, make connections between concepts, and support one another during problem-solving tasks. The organization materials have also helped create smoother transitions and more structured group activities in our classroom.\r\nAs we continue through the school year, students will use these materials during intervention groups, hands-on learning activities, STAAR preparation, and daily instruction. Having a visually supportive classroom helps remove language barriers and gives students multiple ways to access learning and demonstrate understanding.\r\nThank you for investing in our students and helping make math more accessible, engaging, and inclusive for every learner in our classroom. For many of our students, especially our Emergent Bilingual and Special Education populations, these headphones provide the ability to better focus, hear instructional supports clearly, and participate more independently in learning activities.\r\nThe microphones have been especially important for programs such as TELPAS, where students must both listen and respond verbally. Having reliable headphones allows students to feel more confident when speaking, practicing language skills, and completing required assessments. Teachers have also been able to use them during intervention activities, online learning platforms, and individualized support lessons without classroom distractions interfering with learning.\r\nMoving forward, these headphones will continue supporting small group instruction, language development, testing accommodations, and technology-based learning opportunities across our campus. Because of your generosity, we were able to provide thousands of pencils to students across our campus this year. What may seem like a simple school supply has made a huge difference for our students and teachers every single day.\r\n\r\nOne of the best moments was seeing students realize they no longer had to worry about not having a pencil in class. Instead of feeling embarrassed or stressed, they were able to immediately participate in learning, solve problems, take notes, and engage in classroom discussions. Our students jokingly began calling the project the \"Pencil Fairy\" because pencils seemed to magically appear whenever someone needed one.\r\n\r\nThese pencils have supported students during daily math lessons, group activities, STAAR preparation, tutoring sessions, and state testing practice. At a Title I campus, access to basic supplies can sometimes become a barrier to learning. Your kindness helped remove that barrier and allowed students to focus on building confidence and academic success instead.\r\n\r\nAs we move into the next steps of the school year, students will continue using these supplies during collaborative learning activities, intervention groups, and end-of-year projects. As we organized and distributed the supplies, it created an opportunity to walk students through what each item is for and why preparedness matters. Instead of it feeling scary, it became a conversation about responsibility, awareness, and taking care of one another. Students were genuinely curious—asking questions, making connections, and even sharing how they could apply similar ideas at home. It turned into a real-world learning moment that went beyond academics.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, their reactions were a mix of excitement and curiosity. Many of them immediately recognized that these resources were something important and different from our typical classroom supplies. It reinforced for them that their environment is being thoughtfully prepared with their safety in mind. That sense of care and structure helps build trust, which directly impacts their ability to focus and engage in learning each day.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, these materials will continue to be part of our classroom routines and conversations. We plan to revisit preparedness throughout the year, connecting it to responsibility, problem-solving, and real-life situations. This project has helped us take a proactive step in creating a safe and supportive learning environment, allowing students to focus on growing academically while knowing they are cared for beyond just the lesson.","fullyFundedDate":1772550488637,"projectUrl":"project/prepared-protected-campus-wide-safety/10118262/","projectTitle":"Prepared & Protected: Campus-Wide Safety Buckets for Every Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Deen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8589533_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1715309030387","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8589533"},{"teacherId":9082976,"projectId":9696452,"letterContent":"On behalf of our coaches and student-athletes, I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your generous donation of the camcorder and professional stand. \r\n\r\nYour support provides a vital tool in helping our students reach their full potential. In athletics, success often comes down to the smallest adjustments, and having the ability to review \"the tape\" is a total game-changer for our programs.\r\n\r\nHow Your Gift Is Making an Impact:\r\n*Technique Mastery: Coaches across all grade levels are now using the equipment to break down physical skills in real-time. Whether it's perfecting a swing, a stride, or a shot, students can finally see exactly what they're doing and how to improve.\r\n*Performance Review: We are recording both practice sessions and live games against other teams. This allows our athletes to analyze their progress, celebrate their growth, and strategize for future competition.\r\n*Visual Learning: For many students, seeing a replay is much more effective than a verbal correction. Your gift has bridged the gap between instruction and execution.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our students and for believing in the power of sport to teach discipline and excellence. Having magnetic materials available has completely transformed the way we interact with content during lessons. Instead of only looking at examples on a screen or worksheet, students are able to physically manipulate pieces, move them around, and actively participate in solving problems at the board.\r\n\r\nThis hands-on approach has made learning far more engaging for students. I have seen increased participation during lessons, especially from students who are typically more hesitant to volunteer. The magnetic materials allow students to collaborate, explain their thinking, and visually demonstrate their understanding in real time. It has also made it easier for me to model problem-solving strategies and adjust instruction based on what students are showing me during the lesson.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest impacts has been student engagement. The moment magnetic pieces come out, students are eager to participate and contribute to the lesson. It has helped turn abstract concepts into something students can physically interact with and understand.\r\n\r\nThis resource has become a regular and valuable part of our daily instruction, and it has truly helped bring learning to life in our classroom.
