Students eagerly unpacked the boxes, their eyes lighting up as they saw the binders that would hold all of their AVID materials. Many students commented that they felt \"official\" and proud to have matching binders, creating a strong sense of belonging and unity within our AVID classroom. This moment helped set a positive tone for the year, reinforcing the idea that they are part of something special—a community that values organization, goal setting, and dreaming big.\r\n\r\nNow, these binders have become an essential tool in our daily classroom routines. Students use them to organize their planners, homework supplies, and a folder for notes to go home, keeping everything they need for success in one place. The binders have fostered responsibility, independence, and a sense of pride in their work. Students consistently complete and return their homework. They serve as a daily reminder that their dreams matter and that with the right tools and mindset, they can achieve anything they set their minds to. The impact of this project goes far beyond the materials—it has empowered students to take ownership of their learning and to see themselves as true Dream Keepers.","fullyFundedDate":1755691175074,"projectUrl":"project/avid-dream-keepers/9579578/","projectTitle":"AVID Dream Keepers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Storck","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6136476"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_57681","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":325,"numTeachers":29,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":32,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":57,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":47.3,"schoolId":57681,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Quindaro Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Quindaro Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kansas/kansas-city-kansas-city-public-schools/quindaro-elementary-school/57681"}
