Every student in our school participated in experiencing the sensory path for the first time, and the energy and enthusiasm were remarkable. The hallways were filled with smiles, cheers, and genuine excitement as students encouraged one another through each station, supported by our dedicated classroom teachers and paraprofessionals. This wasn't just about physical activity, it was a community celebration of sensory wellness that set a positive, inclusive tone for our entire school.\r\n\r\nBeyond that special event, the twinkle lights, light therapy lamps, fidgets, and bouncy band wiggle wobble chair feet are now regularly integrated into our therapy room. Students access these tools during OT sessions to regulate their sensory needs and manage stress and emotions. More importantly, these resources have empowered our students to take ownership of their own self-regulation. They're learning to recognize when they need sensory input and how to independently seek out these tools when they need to reset.\r\n\r\nYour contribution did far more than provide tools, it helped us build a school culture where sensory needs are recognized, normalized, and supported. Our students and staff now understand that movement, fidgeting, and sensory breaks aren't distractions; they're essential strategies for success. We're excited to expand this awareness and continue integrating sensory supports across classrooms and throughout the day.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and investing in their wellbeing.","fullyFundedDate":1769743651052,"projectUrl":"project/regulate-to-learn-sensory-tools-for-suc/10021821/","projectTitle":"Regulate to Learn: Sensory Tools for Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Tewes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10274573"},{"teacherId":8839737,"projectId":9714008,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for providing my students with the gift of adapted literacy.
