Their eyes lit up with huge smiles as we unpacked everything, but their absolute favorite moment was testing out the 15 plush floor pillows. They immediately gathered around, eager to claim a soft spot on the carpet to read and work comfortably. Having these cushions, colorful birthday posters, and fun stickers has transformed our room into an inviting, joyful space where my students truly love to learn every day.\r\n\r\nWe have already put all of these wonderful resources to work during our daily center time. The math manipulatives and the new classroom number line have made our math lessons much more hands-on, visual, and engaging. One of our favorite moments so far was setting up the center with the four headphones and CD player. My students were completely captivated listening to traditional Navajo children's songs and Navajo stories. It has been incredible to watch them build essential literacy skills while connecting deeply with their heritage. During free choice time, educational board games like Candy Land have become a favorite for building social skills, and the treasure chest incentives are a massive hit!\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our next steps are to integrate these listening center CDs into our upcoming storytelling unit, where students will draw and retell the Navajo stories. We will also continue using the math manipulatives as we dive into addition and subtraction. Your kindness has given my young learners the comfort, tools, and motivation they need to succeed.
