I already hear their conversations about what they are going to save for and how some of the prices of the items just don't seem worth it lol. I even see a change in their motivation to work harder. The items you donated are being used as part of my class store, where they earn digital money to purchase stuff they like, but also experiences. This group really loves building things so the wooden kits flew off my shelves. I have attached a picture of one girl specifically because she was so proud of herself. She learned how to hold a screw driver and follow step by step directions to build something that she can use. I also get to form relationships with these kids because they pay to come up during their lunch to bond with me as they build.
