During a recent lesson, students were able to choose seating that best fit their needs—some worked best sprawled comfortably with a clipboard, others focused deeply at a table, and a few thrived in quieter corners. Giving students the freedom to sit where they shine has helped them stay focused, comfortable, and confident as they work and collaborate.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new seating, their reactions were priceless. There were excited smiles, wide eyes, and immediate conversations about which spots would help them do their best work. Many students expressed how special it felt to have choices and to learn in a space that felt designed just for them. Even students who typically struggle with attention were eager to settle in and get started.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, this is only the beginning. Our next steps include continuing to use flexible seating during reading, writing, and collaborative projects, allowing students to reflect on which learning spaces help them succeed. Students are learning to make thoughtful choices about their environment, building independence and self-awareness alongside academic skills.
