My students benefit from each and every item. They help my students self regulate when they are upset. There are more options for my students to choose from in our calming corner. My students all enjoy the Calm Down Threading Boards the most. Student will sit in the calming corner or bring an item to their desk during recess. They not knly utilize the items when they are upset, they also play with them when they are having fun. I have students from other classes coming into my classroom and playing with the items too. The canopy was a great addition to our calming corner. My students also enjoy reading in the calming corner as well. They find it very relaxing.
