Our students are already using the new basketballs and jerseys that emphasize teamwork, communication, and perseverance. Tryouts are happening this upcoming week, and the excitement is contagious! Students are eager for the opportunity to join the team, and thanks to your support, they have all the equipment they need to step onto the court and show off their skills.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the jerseys and equipment, their reaction was pure joy. Smiles filled classrooms, and many immediately asked when they could start practicing. The sense of pride and belonging was instant.\r\n\r\nWith these resources in place, our next steps include building consistent practice routines, learning the rules of the game, and preparing for friendly competitions with other schools. Beyond basketball skills, students are also developing goal-setting abilities, emotional regulation, and positive peer interactions, skills that directly support their IEP goals and overall personal growth.","fullyFundedDate":1762982346514,"projectUrl":"project/help-us-launch-our-first-ever-coed-baske/9833996/","projectTitle":"Help Us Launch Our First-Ever Coed Basketball Team!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Forlenza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6618776_orig.jpg?crop=547,547,x0,y147&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1574211620203","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6618776"},{"teacherId":5976265,"projectId":9913952,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our theater project through DonorsChoose. For many of our students, theater provides a powerful outlet to build confidence, practice communication skills, and feel a sense of pride and accomplishment as part of a team.\r\n\r\nSeeing our students light up as they try on costumes, handle props, and rehearse their roles has been incredibly rewarding.
