For kids who are sensory seekers, these tools aren't just \"fun equipment\" , they're lifelines. They help my students regulate their energy, focus, and feel confident in their bodies.\r\n\r\nWe've already been using the scooters for races and group relays, which not only build strength and coordination but also teamwork. The sensory tunnel and crash pad have become safe spaces where students can calm down when they're overwhelmed and then rejoin class ready to learn and move. I'll never forget one of my students, who usually struggles with transitions, proudly making it across the balance set and yelling, \"I did it!\"\r\n\r\nThese resources are giving my students real opportunities to grow , not just in physical education, but in independence and self-assurance. The next step for us is to weave these tools into our fall unit, where we're focusing on building balance, coordination, and confidence through structured play.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in my students and helping me create a space where they can shine.","fullyFundedDate":1735586573325,"projectUrl":"project/balance-bounce-and-build-expanding-ou/8771148/","projectTitle":"Balance, Bounce, and Build: Expanding Our Gym for Sensory Success!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cruz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3165985_orig.jpg?crop=816,816,x423,y161&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1726153505196","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3165985"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_128476","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":74,"percentAsian":14,"percentBlack":16,"percentWhite":12,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":34,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":62.0,"schoolId":128476,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about PS 36K @ PS 208 on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"PS 36K @ PS 208","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/ps-36k-public-school-208/128476"}
