This was my sixth attempt to secure a book vending machine for my school, and I truly believe that reading is fundamental. Every student should have the opportunity not only to learn how to read, but also to enjoy reading.\r\n\r\nWe celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and the excitement from the entire student body was overwhelming when the book vending machine was revealed. Seeing how happy and enthusiastic the students were brought me so much joy. They absolutely love the idea of having a book vending machine and can't wait to get their hands on a new book to read. Students stop me in the hallways every day asking when they can get a book.\r\n\r\nStudents earn tokens through positive actions such as good attendance, perseverance, kindness, positive behavior, and being good citizens.
