These colorful coding robot cars have opened up a whole new way for our students to think, create, and collaborate. Many people are familiar with technology at home, but it is exciting to see how this kind of hands-on technology helps students truly learn by doing. By experimenting with colored paths that tell the car to move, turn, spin, or stop, students are developing real problem-solving and coding skills in a playful, accessible way.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for our students has been watching their ideas come to life as the cars follow the patterns they design. They quickly realized that every color combination changes the car's behavior, so they began testing, observing, and redesigning routes to find the most effective paths. The classroom buzzes with curiosity and teamwork as they troubleshoot and celebrate each discovery.\r\n\r\nWhat has touched me most is how our special education students have especially thrived with this activity. The tactile and kinesthetic nature of the Indi Cars invites them to engage in new ways as they became more verbal, enthusiastic, and collaborative while working together to plan and refine their routes. The colorful coding system gives them immediate, visual feedback, which makes learning accessible, exciting, and joyful for all.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our students are not just learning how to code; they are learning how to think like problem-solvers, communicate effectively, and persevere through challenges. Thank you for helping make that possible and for believing in the power of innovation and creativity in education.","fullyFundedDate":1758848316294,"projectUrl":"project/indi-robot-cars-a-race-for-stem/9549312/","projectTitle":"Indi Robot Cars- A Race for STEM!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rizzo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5452275_orig.jpg?crop=375,375,x245,y802&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754562261136","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5452275"},{"teacherId":5916171,"projectId":8799608,"letterContent":"Thank go for the generous donation! Although I didn't have permission slips for many of the children to have their photos taken, I did improvise by photographing the work they created using the chart paper!
