These new resources have already made a huge difference for my students. We've been using them daily in math class. Students work out problems in small groups, share their strategies, and then compare solutions. One of our favorite activities has been \"math rotations,\" where each group tackles a different problem on their board and then rotates to add on to another group's work. It's been incredible to see how much more collaborative and engaged they are when they can stand, write, and interact with each other's ideas.\r\n\r\nWhen the whiteboards first arrived, the excitement was immediate. It's wonderful to have a dedicated section of the room to display the agenda, teaching points, vocabulary words, and examples. While we still use the Promethean board for lessons, having a board to demonstrate and model math makes a huge difference. The students are thrilled to write on it themselves, sharing the strategies and techniques they use to find solutions.\r\n\r\nIt is truly appreciated — it allows us to expand our thinking and use the classroom space more effectively, rather than being limited to just one section. We use it every single day during our FUNDATIONS lessons and math blocks — it's where the magic happens. One of my favorite moments was when we were working on sound-alike words. The students were busy copying them into their FUNDATIONS workbooks, and then I flipped the board over to introduce \"111 words.\" Their faces lit up as we practiced spotting them and learned the trick of doubling the last consonant before adding a vowel suffix. We even used it to model tricky three-digit addition and subtraction — suddenly, those big numbers didn't seem so scary anymore!\r\n\r\nWhen the whiteboard first arrived, the students were totally shocked — you could practically hear the collective \"ooooh!\" across the room. But once I showed them everything it could do, the excitement was contagious. They couldn't wait to grab a marker and try it themselves. Now, it's our go-to spot for learning, sharing, and even a little friendly competition when solving problems.\r\n\r\nNext up, we'll be using the whiteboard to model how to write letters to our future selves (I can already tell it's going to be adorable), and we're diving into four different multiplication strategies — which means lots of colorful drawings and \"aha!\" moments ahead. With the movie coming out this past January, the students have been eager to get their hands on one of the Dogman books to read.\r\n\r\nStudents that last couple of years have really enjoyed reading books in the graphic novel genre. Receiving the 10 graphic novels have been a huge success in my classroom.\r\n\r\nThe books and bins my class and I received for this project have really helped continue to foster these kids love of reading.
