Your contribution has made an incredible impact on my first-grade students and their growth as readers.\r\n\r\nSince introducing the books into our classroom, I have seen a remarkable increase in their confidence, engagement, and excitement toward reading. The decodable texts give my students the support they need to practice essential phonics skills, while also feeling successful and proud of their progress. For many of them, this library has opened the door to truly understanding how reading works.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has not only enriched our daily lessons but has also given my students access to resources that will continue to support them throughout the year. The readers have become a meaningful part of our literacy routines, and I already see how they are helping to build strong, capable, and joyful readers.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in my students' education and for believing in the power of early literacy. This is Ms. Torres. With your donations I was able to have my project fully funded! Thank you so much for your time and donations. My students look forward to centers time each day. They have been learning their letters, their numbers, and how to count with the materials your donations provided for our classroom. It has been heartwarming watching them develop social emotional skills and communications skills with one another as they use the foam and wooden blocks during centers. Our classroom is Pete the Cat theme and my students look forward to reading our Pete the Cat books with our own Pete the Cat doll. These materials have made learning full of wonder, joy, and growth for all of my students. Nothing beats seeing their smiles and their faces light up when we work with all of these materials. I cannot thank you enough to supporting me in my first year of teaching. These tools have already brought math lessons to life for my first graders. With the ten-frames, students are able to clearly visualize addition and subtraction, moving counters to see how numbers work together. The writing boards give them the chance to solve problems, erase, and try again—helping them build confidence through practice.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students could hardly wait to use them. Their faces lit up as they realized they each had their own writing board to practice on. During our first lesson, one student proudly announced, \"I did it by myself!\" after showing her addition problem on the board. These small but powerful moments are building both excitement and independence in math.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will use these resources during small-group math centers and partner activities. They'll continue strengthening their number sense, practicing strategies, and giving each other immediate feedback with the ten-frames and boards. One special moment came after an art project: instead of worrying about the mess, the students eagerly grabbed paper towels to help tidy up, proud to take ownership of their classroom. These resources not only keep us healthy, but also teach responsibility and teamwork.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, these supplies will help us maintain a clean and welcoming classroom for every project—whether it's reading together on the rug, hands-on science experiments, or writing at our desks. As you can see in the pictures, my students absolutely love the trains and train table. They have played with the pieces in various ways, making train stations, towns or just random expressions. I have used it heavily to encourage students to play cooperatively in groups of two and three. These students frequently have behavioral issues stemming from their inability to communicate with their peers. \r\nBut the trains have presented another advantage that I had not foreseen. These train tracks turn out to be giant puzzles! These tracks can be put together in limitless ways. So, I have been able to have single students, many who do not speak, spend time creating their own vision of what the puzzle should look like. They are able to focus for large amounts of time and then present their masterpieces to me with big smiles of accomplishment. Many are unable to do traditional puzzles and tend to give up out of frustration. But something about the trains keeps them engaged and trying over and over again. It has been great for getting kids to self -regulate and clam down when dysregulated. The train table and set was a blessing.
