This equipment has and will continue to help our students experience activities they have never experienced before. In the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, we will not only be using this equipment during our PE time, but we will also start a racket games club, where students will experience the joy of pickleball and badminton for the first time at our school. I am very excited to be bringing this to our students. We smashed this goal, and I will continue to work on achieving even more for our students. Your support means more than you might realize—not just to me as their art teacher, but to every student who now has the chance to explore, create, and express themselves in new ways.\r\n\r\nBecause of your gift, we now have the tools and materials needed to dive into printmaking—something many of my students have never experienced before. Supplies like ink, brayers, plates, and carving tools might seem small, but to a child holding them for the first time, they're full of possibility.\r\n\r\nOne of the most beautiful things about printmaking is that it allows students to slow down and focus. They plan their ideas, carve with care, and learn that mistakes are part of the process. And when they pull that first print and see their design revealed, their eyes light up. It's a moment of pride that stays with them. \r\n\r\nYour support shows my students that their voices and ideas matter. It shows them that art is worth investing in.","fullyFundedDate":1735561245216,"projectUrl":"project/inspiring-young-artists-through-printmak/8947991/","projectTitle":"Inspiring Young Artists Through Printmaking","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Godoy 🎨","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9799014_orig.jpg?crop=1027,1027,x544,y279&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1731717225947","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9799014"},{"teacherId":9845304,"projectId":8960747,"letterContent":"Thank you so very much for supplying our dance students with jazz shoes for their studies and performances. Most recently, the PS 188 Dance Company (a select group of students in grades 3-5) learned all about Alvin Ailey and Judith Jamison. As part of their studies, they learned three sections of Ailey's most famous work, \"Revelations\". The also had the opportunity to see the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre perform \"Revelations\" at City Center in December. After learning, students crafted a slide presentation about the lives and legacies of Ailey and Jamison, and presented it along with a performance of selections from \"Revelations\" for our school community. They were very proud of their work, and made deep connections to this learning, seeing themselves represented throughout the unit. I thank you so much for helping to provide them with this experience.
