Your kindness has helped us create a calm, inviting, and productive learning environment for our students. The tennis balls placed on the bottoms of our chairs have made a noticeable impact, allowing students to move quietly and stay focused without the distractions of scraping chairs.\r\n\r\nYour donations have also provided tools that directly support student engagement and success. The laminator has allowed us to create durable, reusable materials that students can work with repeatedly, giving them hands-on, interactive learning opportunities. The yoga ball chair has been incredibly helpful for students who benefit from gentle movement, allowing them to remain on task while staying comfortable. The chair bands offer another outlet for students who need to fidget, helping them stay seated and focused during lessons. The playdough has sparked creativity and imagination, giving students a tactile way to express their ideas and explore concepts.\r\n\r\nWe are also so grateful for the new shelf, which has helped keep our space organized and accessible. With everything in its place, students are able to find materials quickly and stay engaged in their learning. Thank you again for your generosity and support. You have truly helped create a classroom where students can thrive academically, emotionally, and creatively.","fullyFundedDate":1755746386180,"projectUrl":"project/supplies-for-success-building-brighter/9482493/","projectTitle":"Supplies for Success: Building Brighter Tomorrows","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Padilla","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4084440_orig.jpg?crop=804,804,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1638281322143","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-padilla14"},{"teacherId":9918846,"projectId":9103656,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your generous and thoughtful donation, which brought laptops into our classroom of learners with moderate to severe disabilities. Your kindness has genuinely transformed our learning environment, promoting independence and engagement.\r\n\r\nThe impact of these laptops has been especially profound this year, as our district implemented a new curriculum called \"Amplify.\" This innovative program integrates a wealth of multimedia resources, including animations and interactive visual supports that bring academic concepts to life. In math, for example, Amplify uses vibrant animations to help students visualize abstract concepts—something that can be particularly challenging for learners with disabilities. Having laptops in the classroom has made this new curriculum far more accessible and engaging for every student.\r\n\r\nCurrently, our class is learning about transformations—specifically, reflections and translations. In the past, understanding these abstract ideas through static images alone proved difficult. However, students can now use their laptops to explore animated visuals that demonstrate how shapes move, flip, and slide across a coordinate plane. Watching their eyes light up as they manipulate shapes and immediately see the results of their actions has been incredibly fulfilling. The technology bridges the gap between abstract theory and concrete understanding, giving students the confidence to take ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nBeyond math, the laptops have opened up new opportunities for students to strengthen their research and critical thinking skills. When given various topics to explore, students now use their computers to locate reliable sources, analyze information, and share what they've learned. These are not just academic tasks; they are vital life skills that nurture independence and curiosity. The ability to research, question, and learn from digital tools prepares them for a future in which technology and self-directed learning are essential. These skills are developing thanks to your generosity, which continues to make a lasting impact on each child's educational journey. Your generosity extends far beyond our classroom walls.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of myself, our students, and their families, we would like to thank you for believing in our classroom and investing in our future. Your generosity is changing lives, one student at a time, and the ripple effects of your kindness will continue to echo through every lesson learned, every breakthrough achieved, and every smile sparked by the power of learning.","fullyFundedDate":1746785996651,"projectUrl":"project/digital-learning/9103656/","projectTitle":"Digital Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Akide","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9918846"},{"teacherId":3162011,"projectId":8870981,"letterContent":"A huge thank you for your donation! For some the sensory toys such as the sensory sand, fidget items, and stress balls have helped students channel their energy and reduce restlessness. As you may know sensory tools cater to different preferences, allowing students to engage their senses in a way that feels most comfortable for them. My students have been able to practice mindfulness meditation using the products we received thanks to your donations like the tent and the mat. Mindfulness is very important, with its emphasis on living in the present moment, and is a life skill that encourages students to embrace a state of awareness and calm. These tools have helped my students relax and refocus when upset, sad, or anxious. For my students that love to read the relaxation books and mood meter posters offer a quiet and creative way to de-stress. The Brita Water System allowed our students to self-serve, and diminished out-of-the classroom request especially during times when the classroom environment was a bit uncomfortable. The calculators allowed students to have their own working ones. This is especially impactful because most of the students are taking state exams and have been granted the use of calculators as an accommodation. Lastly, the art supplies, Sketching Pads, Paint, and Brushes, were an important addition which benefited us to do fundraising. The students created their own personal ornaments which were then sold during our school holiday performance to parents and their guests. We raised enough money to have our own classroom holiday party on the last day of school. \r\n\r\nNeedless to say, that DonorsChoose and Donors like you all, made this possible.
