When the materials arrived, the students were genuinely excited. They immediately gravitated toward the rocker chairs and eagerly explored the sand trays, showing their appreciation in the most joyful way.\r\n\r\nThe rocker chairs have already had a positive impact during our morning meetings and whole-group lessons. Many of my students benefit from movement and sensory support, and the gentle rocking helps them remain seated, comfortable, and more focused throughout instruction.\r\n\r\nThe sand trays have also become an important part of our classroom environment. My students enjoy running their hands through the sand and using it as a calming sensory activity. This simple sensory input helps them relax, regulate their emotions, and transition more smoothly between activities.\r\n\r\nAs we continue with our daily lessons and routines, these resources will play a key role in supporting student engagement, regulation, and readiness to learn.\r\n\r\nThank you for your generosity and for making such a meaningful difference in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1760274233954,"projectUrl":"project/rocking-our-way-to-focused-learning/9791075/","projectTitle":"Rocking Our Way to Focused Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Miriam","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10300723_orig.jpg?crop=544,544,x0,y201&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759549321206","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10300723"},{"teacherId":4264652,"projectId":8531556,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation. How masterfully the book illustrates the complex concept, (for many adults too!) f compounded interest. \r\n\r\nMy students are from primarily low-income homes where the understanding of financial health will hopefully serve them throughout their lives. Your donation is making that possible.\r\n\r\nAs for the cash registers, well they cannot get enough of them. I added those to the list thinking my kindergarten and 2nd graders will enjoy using them, I was profoundly wrong! My fifth graders absolutely love \"playing\" with them as well. We honed in on our multiplication skills as we \"bought\" items from our shopping lists. Students were both clerks and consumers. They needed to find the total of their purchase and then give the appropriate money. the clerk then needed to give the correct change.
