In our classroom our cozy corner serves multiple purposes; it is a place where the students gravitate to when they need some alone time; it is also a place where they can cuddle up with a good book to read by themselves or with a friend. it also is our calming corner where students go when they need time and space to calm their thoughts and feelings. Our cozy corner has also been used as a highlight and example in our building to encourage others to provide a similar space in their classrooms. Did I forget to mention that it is a HIT!\r\n The students enjoy listening to us read about our feelings with the book sets, \"A Little Spot of Feelings\" and describing how they feel using the puppets that came with the set. We are also learning about our history using \"The ABC of Black History\" and other similar books donated by you.
