Last year we had one boat donated by a parent and the students loved it during choice time in PE. Not everyone could use it due to time. We won't do our swimming unit until later this semester but the girls are already so excited that we have more boats to use! We plan on having boat races as part of our swimming lessons this year. Should be so fun!\r\n\r\nNew this year is our Lifetime Activities class. I will use these boats in this class to teach teamwork on rowing as it can be a lifetime activity. Hopefully students will take what they learn in PE and go out and kayak or canoe down a river for an active lifestyle! \r\n\r\nWe also appreciate the goggles and swim caps. Anything I can help supply so the girls are more comfortable swimming makes a huge difference!\r\n\r\nIt is extra supplies like this that the students really like. We can have all the basketballs in the gym and they don't even notice. Boats are fun and different and can really spark that extra interest in PE.....especially when the girls don't want to get their hari wet in swim class! Thank you for the boats and extra supplies for our swimming!","fullyFundedDate":1778189879911,"projectUrl":"project/row-row-row-your-boat/10268256/","projectTitle":"Row, Row, Row Your Boat","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Keely","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9683351"},{"teacherId":10045344,"projectId":9383719,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support in funding our classroom privacy desk. This resource has already made a noticeable difference for my students. The desk provides a calm, focused space where they can work without distractions, even when the classroom is busy and full of energy.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the soundproofing allows students to record themselves reading aloud with confidence—something that not only builds fluency, but also helps them hear and celebrate their own growth as readers. Students now have a safe and quiet spot where they can practice reading aloud and reflect on their progress.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has created a meaningful change in our classroom, giving students the tools they need to succeed in both learning and self-expression.
