I am also thankful for my students' hard work and dedication that was necessary to create the artwork submitted for the contest. I facilitated the project and brought them to UPS and shipped them to the Cotton Bowl, but other than that, it was the students who submitted the artwork and worked hard for this donation.\r\n\r\nThanks to the donation, I was able to purchase many drawing books and reference materials that students can use for years to come. Students use these drawing books daily in my classroom for looking and drawing reference.\r\n\r\nI was also able to purchase many pairs of large scissors that students like to use to cut cardboard. Since it is elementary, historically we have just had small kid size scissor which are hard to use for cutting cardboard. They were so excited to use the new scissors to cut cardboard for a custom playing card project we were doing.\r\n\r\nI seriously want to again say thank you, and I hope that you all know that the students love these supplies I chose for them. They will continue to use them for many years and create amazing art to change the world.","fullyFundedDate":1742164142383,"projectUrl":"project/cotton-bowl-art-contest-2024-2025/9174151/","projectTitle":"Cotton Bowl Art Contest 2024-2025","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Walsh","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9969485"},{"teacherId":6256094,"projectId":8765017,"letterContent":"First off, I want to say thank you again. The smile hasn't left my face since I found out our class received the items! \r\n\r\nMy students shouted with joy when they came into school and saw their new storage pouches. They were shocked and asked how they could say thank you. Made my heart melt seeing how grateful they were when they informed how we received the pouches. \r\n\r\nWalking into the classroom today, students were able to put their journals, science book, and Chromebook all in their pouch and our floor was free from mess. No tripping and items being stepped on. I mentioned to kids how much better our classroom is for movement with these gifts. They all agreed and again were very grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1734109523145,"projectUrl":"project/student-storage-solutions/8765017/","projectTitle":"Student Storage Solutions","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Joas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6256094_orig.png?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1565220730808","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6256094"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_24645","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":757,"numTeachers":45,"percentFrplEligible":13,"percentAsian":65,"percentBlack":9,"percentWhite":13,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"16.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":88.3,"schoolId":24645,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Portia Ross Taylor Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Portia Ross Taylor Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/frisco-independent-school-district/portia-taylor-elementary-school/24645"}
