The storage and organization bins have also made a huge difference in keeping student materials easily accessible and organized. Instead of spending valuable learning time searching for supplies, students can independently find what they need and get right to work. During our daily activities and small-group work, students have been excited to see that their materials now have their own special place in our classroom!\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited to see the new additions to our classroom! They immediately noticed the lamps and loved how they made our classroom feel more cozy and inviting. They were also excited to see all of the new bins and organization because they could tell that they were going to make it easier for them to find and take care of their supplies. It was a simple change, but it made our classroom feel fresh, organized, and more like a space that truly belongs to them.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue building routines that help students become more independent and responsible learners. With our new organization system, students will practice getting the materials they need, using them appropriately, and returning them to their designated places when they are finished. We will continue using these resources throughout our reading, writing, math, and small-group activities. Having an organized and inviting classroom will help my students stay focused, work together, and take pride in their learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1780603000795,"projectUrl":"project/warm-lights-organized-minds/10315380/","projectTitle":"Warm Lights & Organized Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cotoia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10510889"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_47402","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":324,"numTeachers":29,"percentFrplEligible":94,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":72,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":10,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":10,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":70.8,"schoolId":47402,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Port Orange Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Port Orange Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/volusia-county-schools/port-orange-elementary-school/47402"}
