They couldn't wait to explore the different character lamps! Each student picked their favorite to have on their table. One student in particular said she doesn't have headaches as much since we've added the softer lighting. It's a welcome break in their day from the bright, harsh lighting in other classes. During presentations, we were able to turn off all overhead lighting and just use our lamps and string lights. It was so nice! The students are already wanting to add more fun lighting. This helps to model creating welcoming spaces for students and the impact small changes can make. My students are so excited to come to class now.
