Jacobs use suspense in their stories, and we've been annotating our text with the pens you bought for the classroom. \r\n\r\nStudents are so thankful and relieved when they realize that we have plenty of writing utensils and paper. We were only able to purchase enough for half the class so when I pulled out the new paddles and everyone could use a nice paddle, they were so excited! The ability to develop the skills it takes to play pickleball is much easier to pick up on a real paddle than a wooden one. It also translates to the real world better, as most student will use a real paddle if they play on their own. \r\nEven though our pickleball unit was over for my classes, we were able to use the paddles to enjoy a bonus round of pickleball. After dealing with the old nets that were routinely falling down and falling apart, these nets were like a breath of fresh air for the students. We took them out to let the students learn to set them up and use them. \r\n\r\nThe nets are easy to set up so that the students can do it with no help from the teachers (or duct tape). They are also light and easy to move. We had already completed our pickleball and badminton unit, but we were able to quickly and easily set up the nets for a few bonus net court games for the students to enjoy. \r\n\r\nContinuing forward, the students will be using the new nets for all net court units, no more duct tape and nets that are falling over.
