These boards became an essential tool during our end-of-year state test prep. Instead of traditional worksheets, students were up and moving, solving problems in teams, and mapping out their thinking in real time. One of our favorite activities was \"math relay,\" where students rotated between stations solving multi-step problems, explaining their reasoning to classmates using the boards. It turned review time into something active, collaborative, and fun—and best of all, it helped them deeply understand the material.\r\n\r\nThe excitement on their faces when the boards first arrived was unforgettable! They couldn't wait to use them and immediately saw them as a sign that learning was about to get a lot more fun. Many of my students said they felt like \"real teachers\" when they got to stand up and explain their answers to their peers. As we continue with our final projects of the year, the boards are helping students map out writing ideas, work collaboratively, and reflect on their growth this year. Your donation truly made our classroom more engaging, and I'm so grateful for the difference it's made in our learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1740995387218,"projectUrl":"project/create-a-thinking-3rd-grade-classroom/8945602/","projectTitle":"Create a Thinking 3rd Grade Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cameron","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9568287_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1718235415562","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9568287"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_97318","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":774,"numTeachers":50,"percentFrplEligible":15,"percentAsian":22,"percentBlack":7,"percentWhite":52,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":10,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":73.3,"schoolId":97318,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Pleasant Knoll Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Pleasant Knoll Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/south-carolina/york-csd-4-fort-mills-schools/pleasant-knoll-elementary/97318"}
