No student was left without a snack. They were so happy to have choices that fit their needs. This seemingly simple provision had a profound effect: it ensured that every child could focus their energy entirely on learning, rather than being distracted by hunger. Every child did their very best in class. This consistent access to sustenance has been foundational, allowing us to maintain high levels of engagement and concentration. We owe you a million thanks for ensuring our students have access to snacks and stay ready to learn.\r\n\r\nYour donors got a little peek into our classroom by contributing to your project, and we know that they'd love to learn more. Each year, more students join these organizations, and with that growth comes additional materials—props for UIL One Act Play, supplies for UIL academic teams, and resources for Beta Club and other student organizations. While this growth is exciting and encouraging, it has also created a challenge: without proper storage, supplies get misplaced, damaged, or scattered across classrooms.\r\n\r\nThis project will provide storage bins that will benefit students across grade levels, from elementary to high school. Our elementary, middle, and high school UIL academic teams will finally have organized places for their materials. The middle and high school UIL One Act Play programs will have reliable storage for costumes, props, and scripts. Our Junior and Senior Beta Clubs, along with many other high school clubs, will have a secure way to keep their items ready for meetings, service projects, and competitions.\r\n\r\nThese bins may seem like a simple solution, but they will have a big impact. Organized storage means students can spend less time searching for what they need and more time focusing on learning, practicing, and performing. For UIL competitors, that could mean easy access to reference materials and supplies on competition day. For theater students, it ensures costumes and props are kept safe and in good condition. For Beta Club and other organizations, it allows service projects and events to run smoothly without worrying about missing supplies.\r\n\r\nBeyond the practical benefits, storage bins will also create a sense of pride and ownership. When students see that their materials are cared for and neatly organized, they understand that their programs matter. They feel supported by their teachers, sponsors, and community. This organization helps foster responsibility as well, as students learn to return items to their designated place and take care of the resources entrusted to them.\r\n\r\nThe growth of these programs is something worth celebrating. Each new student who joins is finding a place to belong, to learn, and to share their talents. Academic UIL sharpens problem-solving and critical thinking. UIL One Act Play encourages creativity, teamwork, and confidence on stage. Beta Club builds leadership, service, and character. Our many other school clubs provide outlets for students to explore their interests and passions. Together, these opportunities enrich our school and allow students to shine in unique and meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nAs sponsors, our goal is to provide the best experiences we can for every student. Having the right tools—something as simple as storage bins—helps us do just that. With your support, we can ensure that every student has what they need, when they need it, in an organized and accessible way.\r\n\r\nYour generosity will make a lasting difference in our programs, giving hundreds of students across all grade levels the chance to focus on what truly matters: learning, creating, serving, and growing.","fullyFundedDate":1742955518299,"projectUrl":"project/help-we-need-storage/9153379/","projectTitle":"Help! UIL journalism events are rigorous and exciting, but they also require students to bring and manage an incredible amount of supplies. Dictionaries, thesauruses, laptops, printers, paper, and even basics like pencils all have to travel with us. With students competing in multiple events, these items are constantly being shared, carried from room to room, and shuffled between students.\r\n\r\nRight now, we rely on bags, boxes, and armfuls of supplies to get everything where it needs to go. This is stressful and inefficient. Items are often misplaced between rounds or left in the wrong room, and students end up scrambling to find what they need. On competition day—when nerves are already high—the last thing students should have to worry about is whether a printer cord is missing or a dictionary is stuck in another bag.\r\n\r\nRolling carts will change this completely. By giving us a way to organize and transport everything together, these carts will ensure that all supplies are in one place, ready to go, and easy to access. Students will be able to quickly grab what they need, share resources with their teammates, and know that everything will be available for the next competitor. This simple solution will remove a major source of stress and allow students to focus fully on what matters most—their writing and their performance.\r\n\r\nThe impact of this project extends beyond organization. These rolling carts will give my students confidence. When they know that all of their tools are ready and available, they can walk into a competition room prepared, focused, and calm. They won't waste time hunting for paper, waiting for a printer to be set up, or worrying if a dictionary is missing. Instead, they can use that time and energy to plan their stories, sharpen their arguments, and do their very best work.\r\n\r\nUIL competitions are about more than just winning medals. They help students develop real-world skills—clear communication, quick thinking, creativity under pressure, and teamwork. My journalism students pour countless hours into preparing for these events, and they deserve to have reliable, organized resources that support their effort. The rolling carts may seem like a small addition, but they will have a big impact: creating smoother transitions between events, reducing stress, and giving students the tools they need to succeed at a high level.\r\n\r\nYour support means more than just purchasing equipment. It tells my students that their hard work matters and that their community believes in them. Many of my students are competing at state for the very first time. The confidence that comes from being prepared and supported will stay with them far beyond this competition. It will remind them that when they put in effort, people are willing to invest in their success.\r\n\r\nWith these carts, we can stop worrying about misplaced supplies and start focusing on the bigger picture—helping students showcase their skills, creativity, and determination on the state stage. Your generosity will not only improve this year's competition but will also benefit future teams for years to come.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students the organization, confidence, and support they need to shine.","fullyFundedDate":1742955517862,"projectUrl":"project/roll-that-printer-to-state/9156091/","projectTitle":"Roll that Printer to State!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Fyffe","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4935443_orig.jpg?crop=1018,1018,x220,y373&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755889366663","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-fyffe"},{"teacherId":4935443,"projectId":9153158,"letterContent":"For the past two years, we have stretched our budget to purchase inexpensive calculators as a short-term solution.
