As a result of your generosity we were able to continue providing the rocket building and launching program. \r\n This exciting STEAM activity is a tradition at our school. For over 18 years Peters Elementary has partnered with our neighboring Plantation High School to make the rocket building opportunity available to students from 2nd to 5th grade. No funding to continue the program was available in the school budget. Your donations saved the day!\r\n Thirty six students were able to build rockets this year. They were able to enhance math skills and develop problem solving strategies. Students were able to enjoy hands on experience with building and engineering their very own rocket! The rocket building project not only helped students improve academic skills it helped build community between the elementary school and high school. Parents were involved as well in this rewarding activity.
