I have set up my corner and my students are using it regularly. They are using the materials to begin to feel their emotions, understand what they need, and figure out what they can do to accomplish that need. The students have used the sensory items including their favorite, the weighted teddy bear! \r\n\r\nThank you also for the classroom set of headphones. My students love listening to music as a mindfulness technique. It is something that they can do from almost anywhere. We are a phone-free school starting this year. We were given laptops but no headphones. Providing headphones has changed the culture of the classroom. \r\n\r\nFinally, thank you so much for the coloring materials. I have gotten more artists this year and I only had a classroom set of markers. Now, the students have access to both crayons and colored pencils to express their emotions through the art they create.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for donating to our classroom. You could have donated to any project on this website, but you donated to mine. The students social emotional needs, mental heath needs are being met thanks to your generosity. I could not have done this without your help.
